Ireland!

I am currently on a train to Dublin that has great Wi-Fi yay!! First time I've attempted to blog on my IPhone haha! We are having a great time on our trip so far, hard to believe we are 1/3 of the way through it! London was awesome: we saw the Tower of London, went on a boat cruise on the Thames, walked across the Tower Bridge, went up in the London Eye and a ton of other fun things! On Thursday, we spent about 6 hrs in Heathrow Airport waiting for our flight to Ireland that had been delayed..I read 286 out of 392 pages of a book on my Nook during that time hah! Yesterday, we spent the day exploring Blarney Castle and spending entirely too much $$ at the Blarney Woollen Mills! Now we are en route to meet our friend Rachel and stay at her house in Belfast! :) Today is also my younger sister's 25th birthday!! I can't believe she is 25!! I feel old! Well, Molly Chris, if you are reading this, I hope you have an awesome day!! Love you! :)

Goodbye USA (for now!), Hello Europe!

I'm SO excited about a trip that I'm leaving for today to several different European countries and cities!

First stop: London
My friend Tabitha and I will be flying to London and spending four days and nights there, exploring the city that I'm sure will be CRAZY with Olympic stuff going on, since it will be only two weeks before the Games start! I'm excited to see all of that, but mostly I'm excited for the Harry Potter Studio tour...haha!

Second Stop: Cork, Ireland
After that, we will be flying to Cork, Ireland and spending two days there...I've been to Cork before but Tabitha wants to kiss the Blarney Stone and I love Cork so I definitely was up for going there again! Plus, there is this totally awesome marketplace where you can literally find EVERYTHING Irish you could possibly want! I can't wait to go there again!

Third Stop: Belfast, Northern Ireland
Next, we will take a train to Belfast where our friend Rachel lives! This will be my first time visiting this area and I'm really excited that we a.) get to spend time with Rachel and b.) have our own personal tour guide to show us all around!

Fourth Stop: Dublin, Ireland
After that, we will take the train back to Dublin and stay there for a few days! I love Dublin and can't wait to do lots of sightseeing! It is such a fun city!

Fifth Stop: Paris, France
After enjoying the sights of Dublin, we will then fly to Paris, France to meet up with two other friends, Kim and Meghan, and spend a fabulous 9 days exploring Paris! It has been a lifelong dream of mine to go to Paris and I am SO thrilled that this dream is finally coming true! We have a few day trips planned to visit other places around France: Versailles, Normandy beaches, and I think a few others!

All in all, I will be gone for exactly three weeks, which is a crazy amount of time to be gone, but I am so happy I have this amazing opportunity! I've scheduled some posts for while I'll be gone and I'll definitely be blogging more about my trip when I get back! :) :) :)

Pinterest Wednesday!

Yay! Time for another edition of Oh, How Pinteresting Wednesday with Michelle from The Vintage Apple! :)

1.) What a cute, comfy outfit! I'm already thinking ahead to fall (mostly because I'm tired of 100 degree days with horrible humidity!)

Source

2.) This is so ridiculously adorable! I need someone to have a bridal shower and/or a baby girl shower because I want to make one of these! :) Pieces of taffy...love it!

Source

3.) Ugh. This has been quite a summer. Thankfully, my house did not lose power during the derecho that hit our area recently and I am so grateful for that! But still...this weather is ridiculous....

(and I know I talk about the weather alot! Believe it or not, at one point in time, I did think about being a weather reporter! Haha...)

4.) I love this dining room! The carpet is my favorite part!!

Source

5.) Hahaha! I will SO use my teacher voice around big or small children if necessary.

(Although I do have to keep it in check. I've only used it once around my boyfriend and he just looked at me very strangely and said "Umm, why are you talking to me with THAT voice?" Hahaha!)

6.) I have to be honest, this one made me tear up the first time I saw it---definitely puts things in perspective for me. Wow.

I hope you all have a fantastic Wednesday and happy pinning!! :)

I was sooo excited when Elyse from Life with a Cherry on Top awarded me the Versatile Blogger award! Thanks Elyse! If you aren't already reading her blog, you should definitely go read it! She's super fun!! :)

Here are the rules for this award:

2. Include a link to their site.
3. Include the award image in your post.
4. Give 7 random facts about yourself.
5. Nominate 15 other bloggers for the award.
6. When nominating, include a link to their site.
7. Let other bloggers know they've been nominated.

7 Random Facts About Me:

1.  I was born in Cincinnati, OH and despite having lived in Virginia for the past 20-some years, people STILL tell me they can hear a "mid-west" accent when I say certain words. Too funny! I don't hear it at all, haha...

2.  I LOVE pasta or any type of Italian food! I would eat some type of pasta every single day, (actually I sort of do...!) Ha!

Homemade Rotini---absolutely one of my favorite foods to eat! :)

3.  I am obsessed with reading! I am constantly reading and often have several books I'm reading at one time. Some of my favorite authors are Nicholas Sparks and Mary Higgins Clark. Also, I get a lot of my new book recommendations from my teenage cousins, who introduced me to the Matched and Divergent series. Haha--well, at least I'm reading the same books as my students.

4. I have bright red hair, blue eyes, super pale skin and tons of freckles. I also get asked on a fairly regular basis by random people when I moved to the US from Ireland. Ummm, wouldn't I have an Irish accent if I was from Ireland? (Hmm, that would actually be pretty cool!) Hah..

My skin looks even paler than normal here--yikes! Also, I  get sunburned on cloudy days if I'm not careful... ( Boo!!

5.  In August, I will be starting my FIFTH year of teaching and my fifth year of teaching sixth grade--wow! Funny story: when I first began my teaching license and master's program, my friend Holly and I swore up and down that 6th grade was the ONE elementary grade we never wanted to teach. (She was afraid the curriculum would be hard (not really true) and I was afraid the students would all be taller than me, which is unfortunately true...lol!!) Little did I know where I'd end up a few years later! :)

6. Related to my last random fact, I am 4'11 and can relate to SO MANY of the short people problems I see all over Pinterest. I'm the shortest in my family and many of my much younger cousins are now taller than me! Sad! Oh well...

Sunday Social: TV!

Linking up ( a little late!) with Neely and Ashley for Sunday Social!

Favorite TV show of the past

The Brady Bunch! Hahahaha...I love this show so much! This and Saved by the Bell were my favs of my childhood!

Favorite TV show currently:
Oooh, so many! Modern Family, anything on HGTV, Teen Mom, The Bachelorette, Hell's Kitchen and many others...

Which Reality Show would you NEVER do?
As much as I like watching The Bachelor, I don't think I'd ever want to go on it...just a little too much drama for my taste, haha. Although that doesn't stop me from watching it.. :)

Which Reality Show would you LOVE to do?
Hmm, if I could sing, I would totally audition for American Idol or The X Factor...unfortunately, I can't! Booo! :(

TV personality/character that you feel is most like you?

Hmm...this one's a little tricky...I can't really think of any! :-/

TV character you'd want to date?
Jim from The Office...without a doubt! Love him! :)

Sunday Social: Fashion! :)

Today I'm linking up with Neely and Ashley for another Sunday Social!! :)

Sunday Social

This Week's Questions:

What is your favorite store to shop at?
Oooh, there are so many to choose from! Hmm, a few favorites would have to be Ann Taylor Loft, Macy's, Nordstrom, Target, and H&M.. :)

If you could afford anything and everything, which designer brand would you covet?
If I could afford anything and everything (which unfortunately I can't!), I would be in Michael Kors and Dior clothing, Christian Louboutin shoes, and be carrying the nicest Louis Vuitton purse you could imagine! :)

Michael Kors--so cute!!

I like! :) Too bad I'd probably trip and fall in these...sigh...

Must have closet staple?
Cardigans! I have one in just about every color, every fabric, even some adorable ones in different patterns--they are what gets me through winter...(how sad does that sound?  Haha!)

Why hello pretty purple cardigan! Why are you not in my closet?

Favorite kind of shoes? (brand or type)
Finding shoes for my teeny tiny feet (size 5.5 on a good day) is a little tricky. Honestly, I buy most of my shoes at Nordstrom because they are one of the few stores where you can find good deals on cute shoes in smaller sizes.

Best clothing deal you've ever gotten? (sale or amazing find)
Haha, probably my NorthFace fleece that I got off of EBay (totally random I know), brand new, half off of the regular price and I wear it all the time! Love it! :)

Style you'd love to try?
I absolutely love maxi dresses, especially in the summertime and I really want to get one, but I just don't know how they would work on me...I'm only 4'11 and I think that much fabric would either be ridiculously too long or just look too weird..I think the key would be to look for one in the petites. Hmm, something to think about!
